About Compress Image

Image compression re-encodes a photo at a lower quality setting so the file gets dramatically smaller while still looking sharp on screen. A 5 MB phone photo often shrinks to a few hundred kilobytes with no visible difference — which means faster websites, emails that actually send, and uploads that fit under size limits.

How to use Compress Image

1
Add your images
Drop in JPG, PNG or WebP files — several at once if you like.
2
Set the quality
0.8 is a great default: big savings, no visible loss. Go lower for maximum savings, higher for print-quality output.
3
Compress and download
Each image shows its before/after size. Download individually or grab everything at once.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Images are processed by your browser's own canvas engine, entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded, stored or seen by anyone else.
How much smaller will my images get?
Typically 60–90% smaller for photos, depending on the source and the quality you choose. PNG screenshots compress less than photographs.
Will the image lose quality?
At quality 0.8 the difference is invisible in normal viewing. Compression artifacts only become noticeable at very low settings.
